Lithium reacts exothermically with atmospheric oxygen, generating heat that sustains combustion. The Lithium Fire Intervention Mask provides respiratory protection against combustion gases and vapors for up to 15 minutes, enabling safe evacuation, relocation of burning materials (if conditions allow), and initial containment or cooling actions until emergency services arrive.
The LFIM mask is vacuum-sealed and ready for immediate use in case of fire. It is delivered in a protective storage box with printed instructions and expiry information.
